Through the creation of non-gendered objects, I explore the human figure in order to challenge discomfort and invite curiosity about the embodied experiences of trans people.

Our development as children is engulfed with gendered objects, toys, and experiences. The act of creating non-gendered objects allows me to re engage play and fluidity in my practice. Playfully abstracting the human form extends beyond mere representation; it becomes an avenue to play with expectations, prompting a contemplation of what the figure is, can be, or could become.

My work encapsulates the evolution of gendered expression as a dynamic process, both materially and conceptually. It acknowledges transformation while allowing each piece to crystallize a specific moment within that ongoing narrative. As observers engage with the finished pieces, I invite them to traverse the delicate space between their own perceptions of gender, and the lived experiences of trans individuals. Balancing craft and concept, my work encourages a dialogue about the complex interplay of gender and identity.

Born and raised in Tulsa, OK, she restored vintage automobiles for fifteen years before continuing her education in the arts.
